Prakash is the Founder and MD of Hontrel Technologies. Prior to Hontrel, he was working as Sr. Director of India Operations, Director of Engineering and as Product Engineering Manager at Evoqua Water Technologies. Earlier he was working as structural engineer at Applus K2, mechanical engineer at Alfalaval and started his career as engineer & trainee. Prakash got close to two decades of experience in project management, engineering, automation, software development for products and systems which are part of the power plant, marine, oil & gas, water & wastewater treatment industry with geographies covering ASEAN, USA, & India. Prakash holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering from Anna University and a master’s degree focused on advanced computation from National University of Singapore.
Dr. Shyam has joined as the co-founder & Chief of AI from early 2024, and he has more than 15 years of experience in data, analytics and data science across various types of organizations, from startups to consulting and technology companies. In his career, he has built data science teams from the ground up multiple times. After graduating as a mechanical engineer from PSG Tech (India), he moved to Singapore to pursue his research in developing advanced numerical methods (Computation Fluid Dynamics). He holds a M.Eng and Doctorate from National University of Singapore. His focus has since moved away from academia and into applied areas, where he works to directly benefit businesses. He is driven by his passion to unlock value through data, and has held leadership positions in data & technology in various domains including digital advertising, IT consulting (AI/ML, Data science practice), global ag-tech, oil & gas and food delivery sectors.
Palani is the Engineering Director of Hontrel Technologies. Prior to Hontrel, he held a Mechanical Engineering Manager role at Evoqua Water Technologies and a Lead Mechanical Engineer at WEG and GE, he has also worked as a CAE Engineer with Valeo and Parametric Consultancy Services. He works globally and has a domain expertise which includes Water & Wastewater treatment, Oil & Gas, Power, Automobile with geographies spanning USA, UK, EUROPE, APAC, & INDIA. He has a diversified experience in engineering and management, with more than 20 years of extensive experience in team building and management, project management, proposal engineering, process and detail mechanical engineering, piping design, order execution and delivery, new product development, standardization of products, product engineering life cycle maintenance, cost reduction of products, design of rotating machines, static equipment design, structural engineering, computer aided engineering (FEA/CFD), and CAD data management (PDM/PLM). Palani earned his bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Bharathiar University and a Master’s degree in Computer-Aided Mechanical Design from Sathyabama University.
